In honor of World Health Day, here are 5 simple health tips from eKidzCare.
Get Regular Check-Ups Regular or yearly check-ups with your primary care provider can catch any health issues you might develop before they become serious. If you develop a health issue before your regular check-up, reach out to your doctor. Don’t wait until it becomes a problem.
Wash Your Hands Frequently One of the best ways to stay healthy is to prevent the spread of germs. Washing your hands prevents germs to spread to your eyes, mouth and nose, as well as other surfaces.
Get Enough Sleep Sleep not only will make you less grumpy in the morning, but it will also help your body stay healthy. Most adults need at least 7 hours of sleep, but kids and teens need even more.
Stay Hydrated Drinking enough water helps your body function properly. Make sure the water you are drinking is clean and free of harmful chemicals. A water filter or drinking from bottled water can help.
Keep Moving Physical activity is proven to decrease health risks, improve mood, and help cognitive function. Even walking for 20 minutes a day can improve your overall health.
